In this anthology, four doctoral students at the Department of Musicology and Performance Studies, Stockholm University, presents a number of different perspectives on such a seemingly simple concept as "the body". In all of the book's texts, the students have tried to use and develop materials close to their dissertation topics. The texts are thus not part of their thesis, but the book has emerged as a parallel project. One hope is that the texts reflect the vitality and complexity of a research field where the body is central.
